What is your religion?
The Temple is not a religion. Each one of our Ministers comes from a different religious background, but we have United to teach the Universal Spiritual Principals, that always remain constant. We embrace all beliefs, and each have our own signed and notarized Code of Ethics. Our structures and practices can all be viewed in the legal section, under Formation. The Base of our Sermons are based on early Christian, Hindu, Gnostic, and non-denominational Overstandings. All religions have the same Principals, and we believe that Monotheism is why they all argue. There is One Supreme Bieng, but many eminations, including what you call “Gods”.
Are you legally allowed to preach?
Absolutely. Reverend Enid is triple certified as a life/soul coach and has been practicing for 10+ years. He is ordained as a Pastor, baptised, and legally in good standing. Minister Cody is finishing his Masters in Education, and Brother Joseph is currently teaching for the Oakland School District. All Ministers are required to be ordained, and in good standing. Our Pastors all have different levels of education and different backgrounds, but our Organizational Structure unifies them all to the same standards. All of our certifications are in the Legal section.
Are you a cult?
LOL, not at all. Ordo Lux is Latin for “Order, Light.” That is all. Our pastors are called Ministers, and our fellowship members are called “Reflections” or “Luxtonians”, which basically means “light bodies”, because that is what a human is. A chemical factory that is training to hold more light – EN-LIGHTEN-MEN(T). We do not require pledges of any kind, nor are we allowed to take Oaths based on Overstanding of the Scriptures. You can leave or unsubscribe whenever you want, and come back whenever you want. We do organize together frequently – but no one gets sacrificed, nor do we gather under a full moon wearing robes and carrying torches. You are more than welcome to dress in a robe though!
I’d like to come to a Scripture Study or Lecture, how can I do that?
Ordo Lux’s Temple is still under construction. We will soon be offering retreats and Congregations on the Island, but for now you can join us at one of the churches, parks, hiking trips, or online meet-ups. Just click on locations or hit us on our socials, and you can find out more!
Can I apply to be a member or a Pastor? What are your requirements?
Of course! There are a bunch of different levels, (based on your level of enlightenment)- ranging from neophyte (NOOB) to Adept (Pastor), and even visitor’s passes. The outer Membership is similar to an open church, and the Inner Order more resembles the Golden Dawn setup with rituals, meditations, and scriptural knowledge. Depending on your level of dedication, you just answer a brief survey to start. As you progress, you will go through Scriptural tests and a series of Baptisms. More info can be found on our MEMBERSHIP page.
What is your mission?
Great question! Our slogan is “In Gods Image, We Create.” Our Creator made a balanced Universe that operates on Divine Principals (LAWs). Our mission is to restore that balance, by Preserving sacred lands, and teaching those Principals to the Youth. When we learn to self-regulate, our shackles become loose and we are no longer fighting through duality, so then we are “free to move about the cabin.” We can then enjoy the fruits of our labor, and live in harmony with Nature and Spirit. This is Heaven on Earth.
