The Key of SOL is a method to awaken consciousness through directed attention in the present moment, with awareness of subject, object, and location.
Astral Travel Key of SOL Basic Techniques
Your consciousness is comprised of 3% awareness, and 97% unconscious dreaming (on average). <i>For the major part of your life, you are unaware that you are alive – or what that even means. Every once in a while you may get an experience like dejavu, an OBE, a terrifying nightmare or life experience, or synchronicity that tries to whisper to you that you are asleep. The goal is to turn down the volume knob of the outside world so you can hear your inner voice, the inner silence, loud and clear.

Your fractured ego convinces you that you are awake, and those are just “coincidences” and you continue your day to day life, picking bananas, pooping, and falling asleep. The intent of Key of Sol is to concentrate our awareness in a deep, intense yet relaxed manner, so that you can exercise your awareness gradually, and stop energetic leaks from draining you.
My business coach Joe Nicassio loves to remind me that I am like a light bulb, but I need to become a laser. What this means is – you may be able to light up a corner of the room, but you go nowhere and will inevitably burn out. Literally!
He said this because I was a musician, an artist, a cook, a poet, a philosopher, a dad, a writer, a student, etc. etc. ad infinitum. While it’s great to have all these passions and hobbies, I had three businesses and a full time job but I was broke, miserable, and if I am standing in truth, a <i>failure. None of my businesses were profitable, I was scattered, and not getting any younger!
You may not be a serial entrepreneur or any of the above titles, but you do live in this time where everything is designed to distract us. Your phone notices you set it down, so it sends you 12 – 15 notifications. You try and look up something on the internet and the advertising sharks surround you and you forget what you are looking for. Passers-by start talking SUPER LOUD when they see you diligently trying to focus.
Everything is shiny and loud. You wake up, get dressed, don’t remember how you got to work but you are there. You clock out and go home, completely drained of all your life force and physically beat. Shower, sleep, repeat. The alarm screams and you jump out of bed like you were being held under water and you are grasping for breath. Every day until you die.
The Key of Sol is a practice that will allow you to save energy at any instance, and carry your awareness to the presence of the moment. Notice how difficult it is from second to second, to keep your consciousness awake. How long can you hold silence in the mind before a thought kidnaps your psyche and draws it into the “forest of negative thought loops”? Is it 5 seconds? 30?
If you have true intentions to level up your consciousness, you must be aware of yourself at all times. “Know thyself, and be set free.” This matrix is designed beautifully, to keep you submerged in the waters of sleep. Your purpose and mission is to keep remembering yourself.

As a verb, this tells us something very critical to understanding. “Recall, bring to mind.” What does this mean? Recall means to call back, yes? Bring to mind means to draw something from darkness into the light so you can see it, isnt it? So then to remember means to put back together a bunch of parts, and now the myth of Osiris begins to take on a whole new meaning does it not?
Okay, let’s jump into it before you lose your patience and find something on TikTok. Your intentions are to “re-member” yourself at all times. When you breath, when you eat, when a beautiful person walks by, etc. Also, there are major forces that you need to harness as well, because they help constitute your karma.
The Key of SOL is broken into three parts:
Subject
You must keep remembering yourself internally:
thoughts, feelings, appetites, emotions, desires, fears, beliefs, etc. These are the invisible threads that keep you the puppet in this play
Object
This is where “keeping up with the Jones’s” <i>physical strings keep you trapped. A new car, a pet, achievements, certificates, your titles, etc. You must not identify with the physicality of the World, and remember you are <i>not it. Master Yeshua said, “Be in the world but not of it”.
Location
Another great master, Samael Aun Weor described a situation whence he had traveled by night as he usually did, and passed through a garden and into a lawyer’s office. He noticed on the table two crystal butterflies. The butterflies were beating their wings and behaved like they were alive. Instead of getting attatched to the butterflies, he instead asked of himself, “how is it possible that butterflies are made out of crystal but are alive? That doesn’t happen in the tri-dimensional world, I must be in the astral realm (metaverse). After testing, he absolutely was astral traveling!!
The Key of SOL (Subject, Object, Location) Practice
Open your calendar app and set an event for 5 times a day to begin with. Think about your routines, and what you usually do unconsciously. You might want to find 5 easy activities to practice with at first, like “6 a.m. SOL breakfast” “7 15 SOL tie running shoes. “5 30 SOL Commute”, etc.
Try your absolute best to<i> practice exercising your awareness. Try to maintain your concentration with this for as long as possible, as many times as you can. Be aware of the S O L simultaneously:
Key Of SOL S – Subject
Be aware of yourself and what you are thinking, feeling, and doing. You can ask yourself, “What am I doing, and why?” or “What am I feeling in my body?”
For instance, when you brush your teeth, mindfully feel the sensations of each tooth, the taste of the toothpaste, how the bristles feel, and the rhythm of the movement of your hand and the toothbrush. Ask yourself (not intellectually), “What am I thinking?” and “What do I feel?” and just observe. Pure attention, not logical answer.
An old trick I learned when being bombarded by useless thoughts is to ask. “I wonder what I will think of next?” and just wait – silence follows 99.9% of the time!
Key Of SOL O – Object
Observe all things you are fascinated or identified by. Reflect on things or thought loops that ensnare your awareness and drain your energy. I noticed even being a teacher of these things, I still get trapped by Youtube shorts or Instagram. The other day, I physically said aloud, “Why are you still doing this?” as I kept swiping. I then counted down from 5, to release myself from the trance.
You must be vigilant! There are billions of dollars being spent to make sure you keep swiping your thumbs, buying new things, and arguing over beliefs! Ask yourself, “What things in life are fascinating (trapping) my attention?”
Do you find yourself getting enamored by someone you know? Do you recall ending a relationship with someone completely toxic, only to realize the “good things” were just your imagination? When your mind zones in on a desire, it starts to populate a thought tree. You build new neural pathways, and the more you go down those neural networks the more crystallized they get. This is the missing key in the Secret. It’s not about positive thinking! It’s about building those highways in your mind.
You believed that person was so funny, so beautiful, so perfect; becoming identified with the fantasy you overlayed over the reality of the situation and created a false reality that you trapped yourself in! Bring awareness to these things and liberate that trapped consciousness, and free yourself from leaking energy!
Key Of SOL : L – Location
Be aware of where you are, and how you got there. You can try counting your steps, or creating a mind map of your locale. “Okay, there’s the red door, only 15 more steps until the robin’s nest, and then I turn left. This will gradually lead you to being able to recall long forgotten memories, life reviews, and possibly past lives. Once you get good at this, you can start the Backwards Review which you use to trace your last thought and action of the day all the way to the first, then earlier and earlier in your life.
This is by far the easiest one, but not the least powerful by any means. When you start to astral travel, you will remain aware and can differentiate between the astral and physical world, and interact as opposed to be unconsciously dragged around. Ask yourself, “Where am I, and how did I get here?” “Why am I here?” “Am I in the physical or Astral?” (jump and try to fly. If you can, you are in the astral. If not, you are in the tri-dimensional world.)
You should always perform this practice, splitting your awareness into these three awarenesses. The more conscious you are during the day, the more conscious you will be when you are dreaming. Daytime is training time, night time is travel time.
You must keep remembering yourself at all times. When you get stuck, you can say “I am not this. I identify only as awareness”.
